A substantial requirement
A demanding requirement from Vice Media’s US parent company meant they would need more than 30 post-production specialists in a range of disciplines to deliver a number of 6×60 minute series at short notice.
Building the team – fast
We had a number of high quality professionals that fit Vice’s requirements already known well to us through our deep network, but the scale of the project meant that we also had to grow our network further and evaluate more.
Our in-house Compatibility Testing, which incorporates in-depth interviews and reviews of previous work, was vital to ensuring the talents we supplied would not only fulfil Vice’s requirements but exceed them.
This was particularly important for this project, with the specialised nature of the long-form documentary editing Vice required.
Compatibility Testing
Using our Compatibility Testing, we sourced freelancers who had the passion for the work they’d be doing and a background of experience that we knew would make a big difference between a good and a great final result for Vice.
The result was a dedicated team which worked effectively and close together over the extended period the project demanded.
How Vice – and the freelancers – felt about the project
A survey we conducted following the projects found that all of the freelancers we provided rated working with Vice as at least a nine out of 10 in terms of their experience, as well as feeling well supported throughout their time on the project.
3 of the freelancers we supplied were hired permanently via an agreed buyout by Vice and Yellowcat at the end of the project. A result for all parties involved – win, win, win.
